Camp One 6100 M.

We watched a helicopter evacuate an injured climber at 6100 meters. A few years ago helicopter rescues at this elevation were not possible.

Above Basecamp to Camp One

A couple of hours of marching up massive morrains  delivered us onto the edge of the glacier pouring down from Baruntse and Honku Chuli.   The massive West Col requires fixed ropes and a huge aerobic effort to climb the couloir below camp one.
